Principle of Interworking Scheme between Public Network PoC Soft Intercom and PDT Digital Cluster


     1.1 public network PoC soft intercom

The public network PoC soft intercom is a mobile communication system for command and dispatch, which is established by relying on the mobile communication network of the operator. PoC soft intercom can realize cluster intercom function with little traffic, and has more powerful functions than traditional intercom, such as instant message, picture transmission, real-time video transmission, etc. The implementation principle of public network PoC soft intercom is relatively simple, and it adopts C/S (client/server) mode. Only by deploying PoC server on the network side and developing a soft intercom APP, the smart phone can be turned into a powerful intercom. Its main positioning is to provide work management and command and dispatch services for enterprises, institutions, and organizations. It mainly faces group users, such as public security, fire protection, hospitals, urban management, government agencies, transportation, airport aviation, large gatherings, and military applications. Wait. Due to its wide coverage and low cost, it can be quickly deployed in batches to meet the needs of these groups to improve the speed and efficiency of emergency response.

 

      1.2Private network cluster intercom

Public security industry network intercom communication system mainly refers to 350M conventional mode, analog trunking mode (MPT1343, CPX) and digital trunking intercom (PDT, TETRA). This kind of self-built relay station system has the advantages of safety and stability, high connection rate, and not easy to be affected by network fluctuations. However, the system is restricted by the number of base stations and building blocks, so the coverage is limited, and the intercom is impossible in suburban and remote areas.

 

PDT(ProfessionalDigital Trunking), referred to as PDT standard, is a brand-new digital cluster system injected with independent innovation factors of Chinese manufacturers, and is a digital cluster standard with independent intellectual property rights in China. PDT standard is formulated with reference to MPT, Tetra, P25 and DMR standards, and has excellent cluster function. Compared to the TETRA standard, the cost is lower. From the product market share and long-term development trend, PDT digital cluster has a good prospect.

 

In recent years, the public security systems of provinces and cities across the country have fully realized the important role of information technology in public security work. The public security system often needs to carry out the transmission of emergency orders, the notification of important cases, the analysis of important cases, and the deployment of major activities. However, these activities have been affected by the inadequacy of the private network system.

 

Specifically, the shortcomings of the private network system can be attributed to the following aspects.

 

(1)350M conventional system: frequency can not be reused, limited to small range, small group of simple intercom, without any security and system scalability.

 

(2) Analog cluster system: limited number of coverage base stations, limited number of channels, easy to be eavesdropped, frequent interference noise, poor security. The State Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has issued a document explicitly requiring analog walkie-talkies to withdraw from the market on December 31, 2017.

 

(3) Digital trunking system: initial popularization stage, not large-scale application. It also has a limited number of coverage base stations, long-distance can not talk, the number of channels is limited, and the terminal and base station construction costs and upgrade maintenance costs are very high.

 

      1.3Comparison of two intercom schemes

The advantages and disadvantages of the two intercom schemes are compared, as shown in Table 1.
